Disclaimer: Violation of any rule set forth herein after
will result in the immediate and undisputable removal of all linkshell privileges,
responsibilities, and membership. It is your duty to understand all of the linkshell rules.
Linkshells/Events
Strict one end-game linkshell rule. (controls conflict of interest)
Under no circumstances are any members allowed to have another HNM linkshell pearl equipped.
Under no circumstances are any members allowed to do end-game events with other linkshells.
"End-game events" include but are not limited to HNMs, Gods, God Spawn NMs, Dynamis, Limbus, Jailers,
as well as NMs that are currently being camped by another linkmate. (If you are uncertain about whether
or not a mob is an HNM or falls under this very important rule, it is your duty to ask a designated leader
before engaging or participating in the previously discussed acts)
Social linkshells are allowed.
Social linkshell events may not conflict with MR events.
BCNM/KSNM is open. You may participate in these events outside of the linkshell.
ENMs must be done with the linkshell if they require an alliance.
Any ENMs which do not require more than 6 people are open; you may do them outside of the linkshell.
You may put in a request for a pardon from an event to a LS Leader if it is more than 3 days in advance of the event. This does not gaurantee a pardon, it is only a request and may be denied if it is determined necessary for you to attend the LS event.
Conduct:
Disrespect of any kind or general negativity will not be tolerated.
Sarcasm, badgering, bickering, bitching, back talking, name calling, cursing, racial or sexist comments, and other
negative actions that can be considered rude, arrogant, or antagonistic by any
member, especially leaders, of the linkshell is prohibited.
Disrespect to members of other HNM linkshells will not be tolerated.
Conflict circumstance actions:
Take screenshots to record the events.
Notify a leader of MR.
Only leaders will be allowed to deal with inter-linkshell conflicts, etc.
All circumstances will be investigated and the leaders will deliberate on the most appropriate course of action.
If all leaders are not available, whichever leader is on at that time will determine the most appropriate course of action.
Participation/Attendance:
You should only be in Midnight Rain if you enjoy the end-game aspects of Final Fantasy XI.
If you are free to be online during event days, you will be required to help/participate in the events.
It is your responsibility to make us aware of your inability to attend an event.
If we have to send you a [/tell] to find out why you are not at the event, there will be a 2 week suspension from lotting on items issued.
If you are logged in to FFXI and you are AFK then you must put a message in your [/seacomm] explaining you are gone.
If you are late to an event without a valid excuse (e.g. away from computer due to work), there will be a 1 week suspension
from lotting on items issued. (being stuck in an exp party waiting for a replacement is not valid)
All members must check in to MR on a regular basis if they have a social linkshell. (If you log on to FFXI at any point in the day,
you should equip the linkshell and check in with members to make sure there are no intended events or discussion of events that you can help with)
Drops:
HNM drops:
Donated to a linkmate in need of the item.
Sold and profits split between the people that camped the HNM when said item dropped.
Sold to a member who needs the drop for a crafted item at half the cost of the market value of that dropped item.
Member must be present at time of drop/kill.
God drop item purchase regulations:
One person can not purchase items they are not intending to use for crafting. If you purchase an item and sell it, you will be kicked.
One person can not purchase multiples of the same drops before another member in need has had an opportunity to purchase the item.
Sold, if the previous clause is not true, and the gil will be pooled into the LS funds to pay for Dynamis or other events.
When the LS Bank is above a certain buffer amount, the drop items will be sold. 10% of the profits will be placed into the LS
funds, the rest of the profits split between the members in attendance for the battle(s) and drop(s).
God drops - Abjurations and God Gear:
Lotted on using a prioritization method. The priorities below are listed from most critical to least critical:
Able to equip - whether or not the person can equip the item at their current job/level.
Job - Although multiple jobs can equip the item in question, one may benefit from it more then another.
This designation will be made by the leaders.
Participation - This will be a judgment call by leaders. If the other two criteria aren't met, then the people capable
of lotting on the items will be designated by the leaders. This designation will be based on an individuals contribution.
Dynamis Drops
Under no circumstances are there to be lots cast on Ancient Currency.
Ancient Currency will be pooled and used for upgrading relic weapons.
AFv2 will be lotted using a tier system. The tiers represent your eligibility for lotting on a specific item. Once everyone from Tier 1 has that piece of AFv2 the Tier 2 people will begin to lot.
Your tier for each job will be designated under the forum section Dynamis > General > Lotting Tier List.
Anyone in Dynamis can lot on crafting materials.
Limbus Drops
Members attending the Limbus event will not be allowed to lot on Ancient Beastcoins dropped during the event.
All Ancient Beastcoins dropped during a Limbus run will be pooled. After the event, the Ancient Beastcoins will be split evenly
between members in attendance for that run.
Leaders:
The leaders are designated captains of the linkshell who will direct/guide members during events and within the linkshell.
The leaders are not exempt from the rules stated in this document.
The leaders will be considered the decision makers for the linkshell.
The leaders are expected to treat all members fairly and without personal agenda or bias.
The leaders will be responsible for handling any concerns, complaints, questions, or requests from/by linkshell members.
At no time will any member of the linkshell be allowed to question or defy a leader's decision or instruction.
Disrespect of any kind or lack of compliance will result in an immediate kick.
The linkshell leaders reserve the right to kick any member, for any reason, at any time.
If at any point, a question arises about a leaders performance, attitude, ability to efficiently and fairly do his duty,
the leaders will deliberate on an appropriate course of action.
